Marc Falcone, whose early guidance and business acumen helped shape the foundations of CarsArrive as it exists today, co-founded PriceDrive.com before CarsArrive became an industry powerhouse. Backed by private media giant Landmark Communications, Inc., PriceDrive was an information-based technology company that helped automobile dealers acquire used vehicle inventory that turned in the shortest time for the highest margin. It also assisted large fleet, lease, and rental car companies in identifying dealers with the highest demand and lowest days supply for their used vehicle inventory. Noteworthy, the brainchild of PriceDrive was Steve Hall, who has been instrumental in the automotive space for many years. Hall is also the Founder and CEO of DriversSelect, a national discount retailer, which was sold in 2017 to the Sonic Automotive Group. At Sonic, he led the integration and rollout of the EchoPark business unit, growing it to over $1 billion in sales.
At PriceDrive, Falcone collaborated closely with Michael Briggs, who was recruited to lead the company’s auto transport division. During this engagement, Briggs shared a conceptual sketch for a platform aimed at revolutionizing the auto transport industry. Together, they transformed Briggs’ initial ideas for streamlining vehicle logistics into a fully developed business plan, ultimately launching CarsArrive. Falcone’s expertise in business development and strategic planning was instrumental in turning a conceptual idea into a viable platform.
Today, CarsArrive’s sophisticated platform—connecting shippers and carriers, optimizing load management, and enabling real-time tracking. The company’s technological edge and operational excellence eventually led to its acquisition by OPENLANE, Inc., cementing its position as a market leader.
